It's important your business idea is based on something you know and enjoy. Not only will your Online business will be more informative... and ultimately more successful, but your enthusiasm for the project will remain high for longer.

Time for some brain storming. Regardless of whether you feel there is money making potential, list the things you enjoy on a piece of paper and then re-order them according to your level of knowledge. Once the list is complete, lets see how we can monitise each item.

Using Golf as an example, here's a list of things we could sell...

Golf equipment
Golf shoes
Golf clothing
Golfing accessories
Books about Golf
Golf magazine subscriptions
Hotels etc. near Golf courses
Golfing holidays

Now do the same for the remaining items on the list.
